Eneloop Music Booster - the white little box that brings the power!

Sanyo presented a product at Musikmesse that caught my interest - the "Eneloop Music Booster". Anyone who has played in a band, especially guitarists, knows how many AC adapters and/or batteries you need for things like effect boxes, etc. Now you can throw away all those batteries and adapters and replace them with the Music Booster, which basically is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, but way better.

It looks like a plain white box, but apparently packs a lot of juice, since it can power a lot of things at the same time. At the Sanyo booth, it was hooked up to 5 effect boxes at the same time. Since it has two 9V outputs, you can hook up pretty much what you like.

Example of use: E.g. Three effects units (Overdrive + Chorus + Digital Delay: Current used about 80 mA):Approx. 20 hours.

Unlike batteries, the Music Booster produces a stable voltage right up until the power is exhausted. And by using the Music Booster, you eliminate noise from AC adapters. A LED light also tells you how much power is left. Charging the Music Booster takes around 3.5 hours.

I really liked the Music Booster. It is one of those small things that make a huge difference in making music. The Eneloop Music Booster is available now.

I Have Synth

Biography:

Been into synthesizers for 15 years, but never a technical geek. I'm a member of the band Velours Perfect, and have had electronic music as a hobby since I stopped playing with G.I Joe Figures. I buy and sell synths all the time, sometimes manically, and my favourite synth varies, right now it is the Alesis Ion. On this blog you can read about whatever comes out of my mind, mostly synthesizer-related stuff though. Bzzt!

I'm also on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and off course Ihavesynth.
