Sound and visual sampling by Ross Angeles

Ross Harris uses the alias Rossangeles and makes some fantastic sound/visual samplings. Two clips for you here. I'm a man of few words some sundays, lets leave it to this.

A glorious dawn

Colorpulse has made this tribute to their two scientist heros Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking.

"My own musical tribute to two great men of science. Carl Sagan and his cosmologist companion Stephen Hawking present: A Glorious Dawn - Cosmos remixed. Almost all samples and footage taken from Carl Sagan's Cosmos and Stephen Hawking's Universe series. RIP Dr. Sagan, you will be missed!!"

This is a bit more "ambient", than what I prefer to listen to. Though, what fascinates me is the use of video and sound samples. Mixing video and music together in great ways. Theese techniques get more and more advanced. Interesting development indeed. See some other posts on this here and here.

I Have Synth

Biography:

Been into synthesizers for 15 years, but never a technical geek. I'm a member of the band Velours Perfect, and have had electronic music as a hobby since I stopped playing with G.I Joe Figures. I buy and sell synths all the time, sometimes manically, and my favourite synth varies, right now it is the Alesis Ion. On this blog you can read about whatever comes out of my mind, mostly synthesizer-related stuff though. Bzzt! Oh...my name is Ulf Dufwenberg. It's Swedish.

I'm also on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and off course Ihavesynth.
