Fun interview with Phil Oakey

I guess in the 80's (and now), a lot of electronic musicians got to hear the standard argument "It's not real music if it's made with synthesizers". In this interview from the ITV 1 in 1983, poor Phil Oakey from Human League if faced with a self-satisfied Angela Rippon, who sort of wins the "Being Annoying" World Cup. But Phil keeps his cool, and answers as politely he can. The older guy with beard says some good things to back Phil up though.

Biography: 

Been into synthesizers for 15 years, but never a technical geek. I'm a member of the band Velours Perfect, and have had electronic music as a hobby since I stopped playing with G.I Joe Figures. I buy and sell synths all the time, sometimes manically, and my favourite synth varies, right now it is the Alesis Ion. On this blog you can read about whatever comes out of my mind, mostly synthesizer-related stuff though. Bzzt!
